The island is an extremely hot place, covered by rocks and the vegetation consists mainly of several species of cactus.

Specially during the weekends, many people come with their yachts and anchor in front of the beach to enjoy life.
People, who don't have their own boat, hire one in Puerto La Cruz or elsewhere to get to this Island or one of the others.
