| For the lower frequency (80 &
160m) we needed a wire antenna. Of
course the highest points at a tropical beach are the palm-trees. A
boy of the local community was a GREAT help for us. In an unbelievable
speed he climbed the tree and mounted 2 slopers. The other ends were
fixed at posts in the water. The boy climbed the tree several times
and had no problem to stay above for 15 minutes or longer, meanwhile
we adjusted the SWR.
