Antennas always work very good, if you install them near the water.
During our trip propagations were not too good, specially on 24 and 28 MHz, but we made even some QSO's on those bands.

Pelicans are quite curious and always expecting to get some food from the operators. Generally we did not see too much birds there, even with quite a lot of fish in the waters. Maybe the noise of our generators scared them away. Anyhow, on Aves Island I never noticed that.
